The Cloud has signed a deal to deploy wireless internet access at Wagamama, the Japanese noodle bar chain. WiFi will be installed at almost all of Wagamama’s restaurants across the UK, with plans to install The Cloud in all future sites when they open.

The WiFi will be freely available to customers in restaurants and Wagamama will promote the service with in-store marketing.

Ingrid Williams, director of marketing at Wagamama said: “Free WiFi is another service we can offer our customers to keep them happy and entertained when they’re in our restaurants. Our philosophy is about positive living as much as positive eating, so anything that improves the experience for our customers is important to us. A number of our restaurants are in below-ground locations, where the 3G signal is unreliable at best and often non-existent, which means fast, reliable WiFi is even more vital.”

The agreement with Wagamama follows The Cloud's recent deals with PizzaExpress, Caffe Nero and Eat. In total, The Cloud has over 5,000 hotspots across the UK in major retail, food and beverage, leisure and transport locations.
