The SockShop has launched their first mobile-optimised website with the help of Chapter Eight. It was designed to give customers a completely integrated desktop and mobile experience, where they can purchase socks, hosiery and underwear whilst on their mobile.

The website, which supports both credit and debit card transactions, and PayPal mobile payments, reflects a new era of purchasing that meets growing consumer demand for multi-channel brand websites.

Through the new site it is easy to purchase socks, hosiery, and underwear brands in as little as 60 seconds. Additionally, it uses the standard SockShop checkout - supported by Chapter Eight's PCI DSS Level 1 certification - as well as PayPal, making all purchases simple, safe and secure.

The development of the company's online presence in mobile browsers such as Safari for iPhone, will help to expand its sock retail empire. SockShop has more than 40 brands available for purchase, including popular labels Pretty Polly, Pringle and Calvin Klein.

Cassie Ash, marketing manager from SockShop, said: “With smart phones becoming increasingly popular, consumer Internet shopping habits are changing, so we believe a mobile site is absolutely essential."

“We are very excited to launch our sleek, new SockShop mobile site which has been designed to allow customers to find exactly what they are looking for from our entire product catalogue and conveniently buy all their socks, tights and underwear while on the go”.
