Jessops is planning a number of online initiatives following the appointment of Fredhopper to upgrade its website.

The camera retailer has plans for an instant chat facility, Paypal integration and development of its delivery offering. These are a result of online growth after the implementation of numerous customer journey initiatives, plus an online consumer finance proposition. Fredhopper was hired to implement on-site search and navigation functionality onto Jessops.com.

"We're upgrading our website to give customers the best possible shopping experience," says Simon Joseph, head of group e-commerce at Jessops. "We've already reduced the time it takes to go through the checkout process, and with Fredhopper's help we'll also be looking at improving search engine optimisation. The features of their technology will allow us to create a superior online retail destination."
