GUESS Inc. will give shoppers access to its online and in-store products via iPads mounted on rolling stands serving as kiosks. The clothing company has implemented the VeriFone GlobalBay iPad retailing solution in 12 US stores and plans to expand the deployment this year.

"VeriFone's GlobalBay iPad Retailing solution provides GUESS with the flexibility to easily configure, customise and deploy multiple customer engagement capabilities and staff training content on the fly," says GUESS executive vice president and CIO Michael Relich. "Consumers can access our online resources in the store and sales associates can roll the iPads into the dressing room to visually display options and accessories to make shopping more fulfilling and enjoyable."

The retailing app is powered by a web-based content management console that allows the retailer to design, brand and manage iPad apps. Apps deployed via the VeriFone GlobalBay solution sync rich content locally to the device, so users experience an optimised iPad shopping experience.

The application allows shoppers and staff to browse various styles via the LookBook functionality and select products for immediate purchase or online orders. The iPad is also set up to deliver training videos to staff and managers.
