Clas Ohlson partners with PCMS

Swedish hardware retailer, Clas Ohlson, has appointed PCMS to provide its EPoS system across the retailer’s Scandinavian and British estate. PCMS will roll out its renowned Vision BeanStore point of sale (PoS) system across Clas Ohlson’s 150 stores in the UK, Sweden, Finland and Norway.

The retailer needed a PoS system to facilitate pan-European operations and enable improved reporting to its Swedish head office, as well as faster transaction times and improved promotions functionality.

Magnus Söderberg, chief information officer, at Clas Ohlson comments: “With a rapid growth strategy, it was important that we had in place an EPoS system that could perform across many different languages and currencies and provide the widespread functionality that we needed.”

As part of the contract, PCMS will also implement its Vision Estate Manager – a centralised management system that detects functional and technical issues across the retail estate and assists with impact analysis, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
