Bosch launches its first e-commerce site

Ever researched a dishwasher online and wanted to buy it directly? How about a refrigerator? Well you can now, thanks to a partnership between Bosch Home Appliances and e-commerce solution provider, Shopatron.

Shopatron’s retail-integrated e-commerce model has been successful in bringing new product groups online, from motorcycles to home appliances, because it integrates local retailers into the fulfillment process, allowing for local delivery or in-store pickup.

On the new Bosch home appliances website, shoppers can explore the full range of the company’s appliances, including ranges, cooktops, hoods, dishwashers, refrigerators and washer/dryer combinations. Each product comes with extensive product imagery, detailed measurements and installation diagrams. Upon completion of their purchase, shoppers’ orders are automatically routed to a local-area Bosch retailer who can offer custom installation and ongoing service.

“We want to offer our customers a variety of ways to purchase a new Bosch appliance—whether it’s a traditional, in-store experience, or from the comfort of their own homes,” says Lonna Dayhoff, electronic marketing manager for Bosch home appliances. “As our customers look for the ability to purchase their products online, Shopatron was the natural choice for us because it is the only e-commerce solution that allows our online sales to be fulfilled by one of our local retail partners.”
