Asda.com goes smartphone friendly

Asda customers can now buy their groceries via their mobile phones, as the supermarket giant has launched a new smartphone enabled website. The retailer announced the new phone-friendly website after research showed that more than half of people who buy their groceries online with Asda have a smartphone.

The new site contains the same features as Asda.com, including customer registration and the ability to shop and make changes to orders or delivery slots up until 10pm the day before their delivery is due.

Kate Cuthbertson, Asda's head of mobile strategy, said: "We know our customers want shopping convenience at their fingertips - so we've developed an easy-to-use grocery website, fully accessible from Smartphones, with the option to add or amend orders right up until the evening before delivery."
