ASOS are offering a 'twilight' service, allowing fashionistas to place orders up to midnight and still receive home delivery the next day. The innovative concept was developed by CitySprint, a privately owned same-day distribution company, for the online retailer.

The service allows ASOS customers to make the most of one of their key internet shopping windows - between 7pm and 11pm. Orders received by midnight are collected by CitySprint from ASOS’ central distribution centre and delivered between 6pm and 9pm the next day.

Robert Muldoon, customer delivery manager, ASOS comments: “We have developed a new shopping experience for our customers, which extends the time they can shop and still gives them the ability to receive their order the next day between 6pm and 9pm - seven days a week. This is the perfect solution for our customers who lead hectic lifestyles but also have a big appetite to shop. CitySprint’s creative solution is really helping us make a difference, allowing us to compete with the high street’s extended opening times.”

ASOS introduced the new service to its customers in London first and has recently extended it to Leeds and Manchester. Since the service was launched, delivery order volumes have doubled.

The twilight service costs £9.95 and will soon be extended further to customers in Liverpool and Nottingham.
