eCommera has launched a mobile app service, specifically designed to provide brands and retailers a quick route to market to sell via mobile devices and deepen customer engagement.

The mobile app service is a configurable out-of-the-box solution that works across multiple mobile devices and operating systems, including the Apple iOS and Android-enabled devices.

The service is available on a subscription basis, which insulates retailers from the task of tracking and updating their application to cope with new versions of operating systems and devices.

It includes cross-channel features such as a store locator with turn by turn directions, in-store stock availability and barcode scanning to retrieve additional product information or access a product video in-store; social functions such as sharing a product on Facebook; as well as a fully transactional mobile store.

Andrew McGregor, CEO of eCommera, says: “The explosion in mobile and tablet use has signalled a power shift in retail to the customer who expects to be able to buy wherever and however they like. We’re making it easier for retailers and brand owners to make a direct connection with their customers, to provide an intimacy that will be critical to their success in a competitive market.”
