The Cloud has signed a deal with ATS Euromaster, the nationwide tyre retailer, to install free customer WiFi at all of its garages across the UK. ATS want to enhance customer experience while their vehicles are being serviced.

The WiFi roll-out, which begins in September this year, will mean customers can access the internet via a fast and reliable connection, letting them surf the web or catch up on emails while their car is getting fitted with new tyres. ATS, which is the first national tyre outlet business to offer free WiFi to customers, receives tens of thousands of visits per month through its centres.

Over 50 per cent of UK adults now own a WiFi-enabled smartphone, according to recent consumer data from Ofcom, which means that WiFi is an excellent tool for keeping customers engaged during periods of dwell time.

Huw Williams, group marketing director, at ATS Euromaster says: “We want to make sure our customers receive a first-class service from ATS and we think providing WiFi is a really important part of that. Many of our customers visit us during working hours so the WiFi means that they can keep up to date on emails while visiting our garages and taking time away from the office.”

The agreement with ATS Euromaster follows The Cloud's recent deals with pub chain Greene King, RUSH hairdressers and Network Rail. In total, The Cloud has over 11,000 hotspots in high street venues, transport hubs, pub and bars across the UK.
