Adyen has today announced that its single-click payment solution has been selected by SoundCloud, the leading social sound platform, which lets anyone create, record, promote and share their sounds on the web. Adyen’s payment solution is currently being integrated into SoundCloud worldwide.

SoundCloud is a social sound platform that enables users to easily record, upload and share original sound on platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr or foursquare. With over 20 million registered users, including music professionals, book publishers, comedians and journalists, and over eight million app downloads to date; SoundCloud has swiftly expanded across the globe since its launch in 2008.

“SoundCloud is growing rapidly so we were looking for a multi-currency payment solution with an integrated checkout process and fraud management system that could scale easily across the globe,” says Moritz Königsbüscher, SoundCloud product manager of payments. "Adyen provided SoundCloud with the best cultural fit, in terms of the technology, professionalism and mutual understanding of our needs.”

“We are proud of our partnership with SoundCloud, the leader in social sounds, and are excited to be helping their efforts to ‘unmute’ the web,” explains Roelant Prins, CCO, Adyen. “SoundCloud is a rapidly expanding global platform and we are keen to support its growth with our payments expertise.”
