Rigby & Peller, the lingerie and swimwear retailer has invested in Futura’s scanning solution – Futura4Scan – to improve warehouse performance and accuracy. By automating previous manual data entry tasks, staff have cut the time it takes to process daily orders from individual stores, which in turn allows the chain to react faster to changing customer demand.

The system integrates seamlessly with Futura’s retail management and PoS solution, which is used across Rigby & Peller’s network of seven stores. Improved accuracy in the warehouse also means a more precise tally of stock in store, saving time and ensuring stores get exactly what they need when they need it.

By replacing manual order picking, the team has more time for other essential tasks including ticketing and inventory control and can turn deliveries around faster. It is now possible to process stock in, make up orders and complete deliveries out to stores all on the day it is received.

Tifany Hotton, Rigby & Peller’s logistics and distribution manager says: “Futura4Scan is saving a vast amount of time which means we can be much more responsive. It also avoids having to print out reams of paper for picking lists allowing us to be more environmentally friendly. The system is straightforward to use, frees up staff for other processes and ensures a smoother and more accurate flow of stock through the warehouse.”
