Fashion retailer, Republic, now allows its customers to shop in-store, but have their goods delivered to their home. The e-commerce store and EPoS was integrated for the retailer by Venda, another significant milestone in the convergent commerce journey.

Republic currently uses Venda web services and APIs to extend information and transactions between Venda-powered e-commerce and m-commerce stores running on the Venda mobile platform.

The new implementation will enable Republic’s in-store Torex EPoS system pass information on a sale that is conducted in-store to its Venda-powered online store, so the transaction can be completed by its e-commerce fulfilment process. This means that sales can be completed even if a store is temporarily out of a product.

Jo Molineux, head of multi-channel at Republic, says: “At Republic we are committed to providing the best shopping experience for our customers to ensure they have access to our products anytime, anywhere.

“Venda’s Web Services and APIs will strategically enhance our multi-channel commerceoffering by giving our valuable customers another way to enjoy shopping withRepublic. They will now be able to enjoy browsing and shopping in-store butwith the added advantage of a home delivery service.”
