Rent it Here iPhone app

The Webb Group, the driving force behind the Rent it Here DVD service, has launched an iPhone app, making it even easier to rent films locally. The app allows users to sign in or sign up for the free rental service from their smartphone, browse the store’s catalogue and reserve the latest releases to collect in store nationwide.

It is free to download and enables users to locate the nearest store to their current location with the Rent it Here service; gives directions to the store; the ability to choose a category, and enables them to reserve their film for collection from the store later in the day. If the particular film they want is not available in their closest store, users can search for availability in other local stores.

The interactive in-store Rent it Here pod offers consumers a quick and easy way to choose and rent DVDs. It maximises retail revenue, taking up an area of floor space measuring just 0.2 square metres and providing retailers with a share of the rental revenue generated. With availability and prices automatically updated from a central database, Rent it Here drives footfall and makes DVD hire trouble free for the retailer.

The app is currently only available on iPhone, however an Android version is in development.
