Pets at Home looks for online growth

Salmon has implemented a new e-commerce platform for Pets at Home, which is looking to grow its online business in the next three years.

The SAFE solution, extending IBM's WebSphere Commerce product, replaces Pets at Home' MUSE2 platform. Matt Stead, director of multi-channel at Pets at Home, says: "It's important we offer the convenient and enjoyable web experience that our customers demand. Combining our online and offline services is going to be a contributing factor to our success over the next few years. In the coming months we will look to trial additional functionality to meet our customers' expectations."

The new site offers a reviews facility and, using Coremetrics implemented by Salmon, the retailer can measure and improve the effectiveness of its online marketing programmes.
