NatWest is planning to trial TouchPay contactless NFC payments.
This will see 1,000 mobile banking customers attach an iCarte case to their iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S, download an app and pay for items during a four-month period.
Customers can sign up for the trial at the NatWest website. A statement on the site notes that, “This is a trial of a new service and therefore is only available for users of iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 at this time. We hope to make TouchPay available for other smartphones in the future.”
