Metapack has released stats from its e-commerce Tracker 100, covering the past few weeks.

These show that 31 per cent of companies tracked were still despatching on Christmas Eve. The likes of JD Sports, House of Fraser and Asos were operational throughout Christmas, bar Christmas day. The deliveries made the week of the 21st were still very strong in comparison to the week before (starting 14th Dec). Monday, 21st December was the strongest with 45 per cent of the week\\\\\'s total deliveries being done on that day and its volumes rivalled those taken in November but decreased by an average of 12 per cent on those taken in December. The volumes decreased throughout the week as per any normal week, but picked up again on Sunday with a 74 per cent increase on the previous day and a further nine per cent increase happened on Monday, 28th.

Tuesday, 29th saw record figures, making it the fifth highest with regards to sales made and parcels despatched and 244 per cent up on the previous day. The following have been the five highest ranking days: Monday, 30th November; Monday, 7th December; Monday, 14th; Monday, 21st; Tuesday, 29th.

The e-commerce Tracker 100 covers a representative sample of 100 customers of Metapack, which provides delivery management solutions.
