Interflora ranks an impressive third in the April ChannelAdvisor UK Facebook Commerce Index, with 35 per cent growth. Interflora has a somewhat unique advantage over many other retailers in the index because it is a global retailer and therefore can exploit the increasing buzz of ‘local’ on Facebook.

Interflora has made the most of the new Timeline feature, with a very visual and engaging page, with many discounts and competitions to drive sales, while themed posts make the page up-to-date and relevant. Also, Interflora use Facebook as a customer service tool by responding to customer queries and complaints, which overall makes a varied and engaging user-experience.

Jack Wills and Ann Summers are the only retailers to move up the ranks in April’s Top 25 table. Jack Wills continues its progress, rising to 16th place with almost 377,000 fans – a rise of 24,588 (seven per cent) on last month’s figures. Ann Summers also added 11,057 new fans (four per cent), knocking Dorothy Perkins from 22nd place.

Net-a-Porter retains its long-held position in the Top 25, ranking seventh with 714,420 fans after adding 38,875 last month (six per cent).

New Look has topped the charts once again as the retailer to add the most ‘Likes’, with an increase of 153,572 fans throughout April (11 per cent). Other notable growers in April include Next, Topshop, and Urban Outfitters, all of whom accumulated over 99,000 new fans each.

Debenhams and Matalan did particularly well in April’s Top Growers table, coming eighth and seventh, each with 23 per cent growth, making a combined increase of 35,383 fans!
