ChannelAdvisor’s UK Facebook Commerce Index saw an addition of 788,797 throughout the Top 25, which is an increase of four per cent.

The digital marketplaces are doing particularly well, as Amazon.co.uk and ebay.co.uk are the only brands to shoot up the rankings in June’s Top 25. Amazon had a very good month, jumping from 16th to 13th place, with a whopping 133,637 additional fans.

As well as topping June’s Top Growers, Amazon was No.1 for percentage growth as well, with a massive 31 per cent increase in fans. This is especially good as Amazon wasn’t even in the Top 25 in January 2012.

Since then, Amazon has cleaned up its page and runs many more competitions , such as a Kindle prize draw and Aerosmith concert tickets, which seems to draw more and more Likes.

Tesco also had a great month, coming second in June’s Top Growers Chart with 79,184 new fans (10 per cent). The overall top 10 remains tellingly dominated by fashion retailers and, interestingly, there was two per cent growth across the board for all the top six.
