Quirky retailer Cath Kidston today announced the launch of its first fully optimised mobile site, powered by Usablenet. In addition to further engaging with consumers, the HTML5 mobile site enables customers to more easily browse and shop the Cath Kidston collection.

The fully transactional m-commerce site features a variety of payment options. my account support, expandable menus, improved site navigation and scrolling image galleries with tap tap zoom.

“Since our inception in 1993 Cath Kidston has emerged into a unique and influential lifestyle brand,” says Amanda Holden, head of e-commerce at Cath Kidston. “Developing a mobile site with Usablenet was an obvious choice to support our company’s international growth. Now we can provide all consumers access to the Cath Kidston collection, no matter where they are.”

“According to a recent report from Mobile Consumer Trends there will be more than 20 million m-commerce users in the UK 4Q11,” says Nick Taylor, CEO of Usablenet. “Cath Kidston’s mobile optimised site will further enable these customers to easily browse and buy items from their favorite brand.”
