FCBarcelona launches interactive catalogue

Kitbag has appointed FMG to create an interactive catalogue on behalf of FCBarcelona.

This makes the Spanish giants the first football club to adopt the interactive catalogue format as a new marketing channel. Published on the Ceros platform, the catalogue is in three languages: Spanish, English and Catalan. Visitors interact with animated spreads to reveal the latest training wear, children's wear, leisurewear, club strips and gifts. The reporting made possible by Ceros shows that readers view every page from cover to cover and are recording significant dwell times on each spread.

Flash animation and interactive elements mean readers are really engaging with the brand. For example, the final page has an exclusive competition where readers can win a signed home shirt. Launched at the start of December, FMG and Kitbag have worked together on a marketing campaign that takes in email marketing, on site banners, viral, social media and search engine marketing.

Tom Jones, client services manager at Kitbag, says: "There is a real buzz about interactive catalogues at the moment, and the results we've achieved show this to be well founded. We're excited about the project and can't wait to work with our other sporting partners on a similar project"
