Redcats find a new habitat

Redcats, with 17 brands across 26 countries including La Redoute, Empire and Chadwick’s, is expanding its use of Progress EasyAsk advanced search, navigation and dynamic merchandising technology

Redcat’s is developing a home shopping infrastructure to complete its transition from a mail-order retailer of apparel, home and lifestyle products to a multi-channel home-shopping merchant. EasyAsk will be used as its standard search functionality and customer interface.

The solution features a multi-lingual linguistic search facility and can be
rapidly deployed.Through a unified architecture, also known as its Millena Platform, Redcats will increase efficiency and implement ecommerce best practice across its retail websites worldwide.

Embedding EasyAsk into websites aims to help consumers find the products they
want more easily due to its natural language search capabilities and synchronised navigation features.

“Our catalogue, in-store and ecommerce channels are designed to offer a convenient, reliable shopping experience for customers throughout the world,” says Alex Betancur, senior vice president of online technology for redcats USA.
“We constantly look to sophisticated search capabilities to extend our marketers’ abilities to consistently and dynamically merchandise products across multiple
sales channels.

“The Easyquick product enables us to harness these opportunities, and gives customers a quick and easy way to find products and refine searches based on individual interests.”
