This is a lightweight mobile computer, offering multiple functionality, including order processing, mobile payment, stock management and self-checkout. It is being used by a number of retailers including TGI Friday’s and WH Smith. Mark Keohane, head of self service and mobile solutions at Fujitsu Services, comments: “The functionality of the B-Pad makes it an ideal device for improving and personalising customer experience. It frees staff from the counter, transforming the in-store service by enabling them to interact more closely with customers when taking orders, providing product information and processing payment."
