Valpak WEEE Compliance

Valpak has developed a robust compliance model for members in relation to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) in preparation for the introduction of the new legislation in January 2007. Under the directive, manufacturers, retailers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment will be responsible for recycling and recovery costs when products reach end-of-life.

Over 50,000 businesses will be affected by the regulations and Valpak has worked closely with the DTI to shape a workable solution to WEEE compliance for UK business.
