The company recently secured contracts with such retailers as Liberty, The Perfume Shop, Matalan, Kew, Matches Fashion, T J Hughes and Savoir Faire.com. It has won deals to upgrade e-commerce websites for The Shoe Studio, Oasis, Principles and Warehouse. It has also seen 60 per cent annual revenue growth since it was acquired by BT in January 2008.
Sarah Hughes, BT Fresca’s managing director, says: “Sales have defied the current economic downturn as retailers continue to sign-up for our services to help them reach new customers and take market share from their competition. Increasing numbers of people are choosing to shop or browse online and retailers are realising the benefits of offering additional functionality to enable this. It won't kill off the High Street because people enjoy the experience of going to a store, but e-commerce and multi-channel retailing continue to offer retailers exceptional opportunities for growth, by enhancing the service they provide to shoppers.”
