DRL embraces ratings/reviews

Bazaarvoice is to supply ratings and reviews technology to DRL’s portfolio of websites


DRL is the UK’s largest online white goods retailer and provides end-to-end online fulfilment services for nine major brands in the UK including House of Fraser and Marks and Spencer. The company has appointed Bazaarvoice to implement its Ratings & Reviews platform on a specially created microsite – www.Appliance-reviews.co.uk. It is initially syndicating customer reviews collected across two of its brand websites - www.BootsKitchenAppliances.com and DRL’s own website, www.AppliancesOnline.co.uk.

“We know the importance of social commerce in retail and this is the first step for us in letting customers lead customers to the right choice,” says Matthew Lawson, online marketing consultant at DRL. “This in turn helps increase conversion, sales of products and reduces returns. It also helps to flush out bad products which have recurring problems.”
